My Approach to Therapy

My approach to therapy is a collaborative one. You are the expert on you’re life and through the relationship built together we draw on your strengths and attributes. I am passionate about providing a space where you can be open, comfortable and feel validated. My aim is to support you to live the life you love to live, through healing, having healthy relationships, coping strategies and processing difficult emotions.

I specialise in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). CBT is an evidence based psychological treatment proven to be effective for the treatment of a wide range of difficulties. CBT is the recommended treatment for depression, generalised anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), panic, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), health anxiety, social anxiety and specific phobias (including agoraphobia and claustrophobia).

I offer Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy and the aim of this is to increase awareness so that we can respond to situations with choice rather then reacting automatically. I also use approaches from Acceptance Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy.

I draw upon somatic, emotional, behavioural and cognitive knowledge to address the whole person and integrate a combination of approaches to meet each individual’s unique needs.

Psychotherapy is a confidential space for clients to build on their existing resources, learn and practice new coping strategies, share their story, and create lasting change. I offer my services to clients aged 18 and over.

Who am I?

I have a passion for exploring new cultures and being close to nature. From my own experiences of major transitions, challenges and stressful life events, I have learnt that suffering looks the same, no matter where you live in the world. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, hiking, reading, running and spending time with my loved ones.
